Overview
ReturnDay is designed to process and store purchase information privately. The developer does not operate a ReturnDay account system or developer-controlled server and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Information you choose to store
You may enter product and merchant names, purchase and return dates, prices, notes, status, and receipt images. Receipt images may come from the camera, Photos picker, or Files picker. This content is stored in ReturnDay’s private app container and, when iCloud is available, may synchronize through your private Apple CloudKit database.
On-device processing
Receipt recognition uses Apple Vision on your device. Recognized receipt text is used to suggest fields for your review. ReturnDay does not upload receipt images or recognized text to a developer-operated server.
Apple services
ReturnDay uses Apple services including iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, Photos picker, Files picker, Vision, VisionKit, and local notifications. Apple processes information under its own terms and privacy policies. StoreKit handles purchases through your Apple Account; the developer does not receive your payment-card details. ReturnDay reads verified entitlement information needed to unlock Pro.
Permissions
- Camera access is requested only when you choose to scan a receipt.
- Photos and Files access occurs through Apple’s system pickers and only for items you select.
- Notification permission is used only for return-deadline reminders you enable.
- Permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.
Sharing, sale, and tracking
The developer does not sell your information, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or track you across apps or websites. Data may be processed by Apple only as necessary to provide the Apple services you choose to use.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database until you delete them. You may delete individual purchases or use Delete All Data in Settings. Deletion synchronizes through iCloud when available. Removing the app alone may not delete synchronized iCloud data. Pending reminders associated with deleted records are cancelled on the current device.
Security and accuracy
ReturnDay relies on Apple platform protections and private app storage. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. OCR, imported content, calculated dates, sync, and reminders may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect.
Children
ReturnDay is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their region. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s information through a developer-controlled service.
Your choices and rights
Because the developer does not maintain an account or server copy of your content, data controls are provided in the app and through your Apple iCloud settings. Applicable law may provide additional rights that cannot be limited by this policy.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect app, legal, or platform changes. The effective date will be revised when material updates are made. Questions may be sent to returnday@haaa.in.
